The Aftermath — There’s No Explanation?

That’s Romeo’s explanation after Pittsburgh’s 34-7 destruction of the Cleveland Browns yesterday.
Let’s see, I think I can explain: Poor Blocking, poor execution, horrible safties and quarterbacks that were worse than horrible.
Patrick McManamon says he is tired of excuses.
The AP courtesy of NFL.com asks the predictable question (note a video of Crennel’ press conference on the right side of the page).
Interestingly enough, the article points out that Ken Dorsey was spotted at the Browns training facility today. Does that mean Frye or Anderson are gone?
Gil Brandt thinks Anderson will start this week.
The Dayton Daily News says that Frye is done as a starter, plus this interesting nugget:
The Browns remember what happened when they tossed rookie Tim Couch into the fire his rookie season. He was battered and beaten and within a few years was out of the league.
But Quinn is no Couch, a fragile persona who couldn’t take criticism. Sure it’s safer to keep Quinn on the sidelines for a season — that worked for Carson Palmer and Tom Brady — but Roethlisberger won as a rookie because he was asked to be just one cog in an already developed system.
Don’t know if I buy that (the Browns having a “developed” system, that is).
When was the last time you saw the New York Times write about the Browns?
Finally, Peter King perfectly sums up how I feel:
What I wonder after watching chunks of that game is, how can you work for an entire training camp and look like that?
